VET in schools multiplies opportunities for students. They enable students to complete a nationally recognised vocational qualification as well as contribute towards their VCE Certificate. Classroom learning is combined with structured hands-on training and practice in industry. The Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation is delivered over two years and provides students with the skills and knowledge to work in the sports and recreation industries.
In Units 1 and 2 the program is designed to introduce students to the employment and educational opportunities within the Sport and Recreation Industries. Students will develop leadership and organisational skills through theory and practical sessions, classroom activities, the workplace and school events.
